Bali is renowned for offering excellent villa rentals at a fraction of the cost of similar luxury in other western vacation spots. In addition to being near the activity and having your own private area to unwind after a long day of exploring or visiting the beach clubs, bars, and restaurants, renting a vacation villa is a fantastic option to explore Bali with more solitude than you can get in a hotel.
Communication from the host
1. Is communication consistent and clear? You want someone who will respond to your emails within a day, at the very least. No matter the circumstance, nothing compares to excellent communication.
Warning signs should include poor language skills or failing to respond to the inquiry. Never send an email claiming to have found the identical house for less money elsewhere. It’s just inexpensive. Inquire about a specific issue that concerns you, such as if they provide airport transportation.
A swimming pool
2. Is the pool amazing? To be honest, you anticipate a swimming pool, not a plunge bath, when you book a villa in Bali. It ought to be big, bigger, or enormous. The warm weather is one of the main draws of visiting Bali, and trust me when I say that it’s either scorching, warm, or dang I need to go swimming. Choose to stay in a hotel or rent a property with a large pool.
3. Does the sun shine there all day? There aren’t many things worse than arriving to your property and seeing that the pictures were shot during the fifteen minutes the sun was overhead. I know this seems a little fussy. When you go back home, how will you explain that you didn’t get a holiday tan? Requesting pictures of the pool taken at 10 am and 4 pm is not difficult. If it receives sunlight during the day, that will make it obvious to you.
Bedrooms
Four cozy beds. One universal truth from my many travels is that a rough bed is OK for one night. When you’re on vacation, having a really comfy bed is crucial for several days. It’s the difference between saying to yourself, “I could lie here all day,” and waking up cranky and with a hurting back. Always seek for comments on the beds when reading reviews.
5 Is the quality of the linen high? Are there many pillows? Take another look at the pictures. You can infer that the host doesn’t place much importance on guests’ comfort if there is only one lonely cushion. 600 thread count, crisp white linen, and an abundance of pillows are the epitome of luxury.
6 Is it really roomy? Are there closets and storage spaces? You can swing your bags around in a fantastic villa bedroom without hitting the walls. It may not seem like much right now, but having a large, roomy bedroom to relax in when the holiday calls for a break makes a tremendous difference over a five- or ten-day vacation.
7 You need air conditioning. It is an imperative need rather than a nice-to-have. For reasons other than temperature, air conditioning is your buddy, regardless of where you’re from. Since Bali is in the tropics, the humidity is typically high. A good air conditioner will help you sleep better by removing moisture from your bedroom. In times of necessity, it may also be a pleasant diversion from the heat.
Pro Tip: Examine the bed pictures to see if the mattress is at least reasonably thick. Are there many pillows? Is it larger than the hotel room you were considering making a reservation for? Is the air conditioner truly functional?
Toilets
Eight bathrooms, both indoors and out. This is where villa rental Bali really come into their own. An indoor/outdoor bathroom is the epitome of tropical vacation. They should be sufficiently exposed to the weather to make it feel like you are taking a shower outside, yet shielded from any rain that may fall, depending on the season. You want to know what it’s like to go from an indoor/outdoor shower to an air-conditioned bedroom, but you’re not sure yet.
9. Soaking tub. The bathtub was utilized by 92% of guests who have ever made a reservation. Bali, that is. When on vacation in Bali, one of the most unforgettable experiences is hopping into a granite bathtub surrounded by candles and rose petals. You won’t regret renting a villa with at least one large bathtub if you add some music from Spotify and a drink or two of wine.
10. Facilities for bathrooms. From wherever you came from, the flight has been a long one. You’re delighted yet exhausted, eager to take a shower but also eager to go to the pool. The absolute necessities are body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Not only a little vial containing a multipurpose “guest seasoner,” but high-quality items as well. When you realize that you forgot your personal toothbrush, a disposable one is rather helpful. Hand soap, too. Nothing shouts “cheap” more than a little bar that, let’s face it, accomplishes nothing when you wash your hands or no hand soap at all.
11. Warm water. What if I told you a secret? With the exception of the really inexpensive hotel rooms that have their own personal hot water heater in the shower that could occasionally operate, practically all hotels in Bali use a communal water heater to provide hot water. There should be limitless hot water at your villa. Another secret is that most villas use bore water, which means that it needs to be pumped and heated as needed. As a result, waiting for the hot water to run in the shower is only a question of physics, namely the length of the bathroom pipe. However, you should always have access to hot water.
